A quintessential multipurpose Mid-Century modular, Sapele & steel wall unit! The system is self-supported and dis-mountable and can be composed to your own modular taste.
The unit consists of:
Four steel upright supports, 7 shelves, and 5 wooden cabinets. Three of the wooden cabinets are 'shelved' while the other 2 cabinets have 3 drawers each. All the doors have well-functioning locks. The plastic connectors provide great support for all the shelves and cabinets and can be placed according to one's preferred taste.
Overall great condition considering its age with a few marks consistent with its age and vintage condition. The wood has been fully refurbished and sealed with the steel supports re-painted. Note that the steel support legs have extender sections added, which can either be used (as photographed) or not. We have made new inner steel connectors to keep these sections secured. Cabinets and shelves are connected with their original hardened plastic connectors.
The Occasional chair with a footstool is sold separately here.
Overall: 219cm W X 32,5cm D X 196,7cm H
Wooden cabinets (with drawers): 71cm W X 30,5cm D X 40,3cm H
Wooden cabinets (with 'shelved' space): 71cm W X 32,5cm D X 55cm H

As with most Mid-Century pieces, it combines solid wood and a high-quality wood veneer. The history of veneer on furniture is a long and honorable tradition, and it depends on the veneer's artistry, condition, and thickness the quality of the old veneer was long-lasting; for this reason, it can be retouched or sanded and refinished.
