Shipping policy

PLEASE NOTE:

The shipping fee for non-Gauteng areas is not calculated at checkout. Please select "Local pickup" at checkout. After completing the purchase, we will assist in arranging shipment across South Africa either through your arrangements or by obtaining a quote from our preferred supplier, if serviced & available in your area. Purchasers are responsible for arranging cross-border transport.

Note: Return/refunds for associated shipping logistics and costs are not covered.

Items cannot be reserved until shipping arrangements are finalized. Please ensure the items are checked out. We outsource transport to areas outside Gauteng, but within SA through a preferred third-party shipping supplier. You may use your method of transport if preferred. Shipping furniture items to these areas is quoted based on the item's dimensions, volumetric space, and/or weight.

Glass: Please be aware that shipping items containing glass to areas outside Gauteng is not recommended. If crating is required for items containing glass, the process and payment must be managed by the purchaser.

Wrapping: All goods transported to areas outside Gauteng are carefully & extensively wrapped by RE-TREND at a starting cost of R105 per individual item before collection by a third-party shipping supplier. The wrapping cost varies based on the item's size.

Shipping glass to areas outside Gauteng is not recommended, but in some cases, it is possible if you accept the risk, i.e., mirrors that are part of a dresser, etc, and do not arrange for crating the glass. The wrapping fee for glass or items containing glass will be quoted separately, as we use additional materials to ensure stability during the transport process.

Insurance: The onus is on the owner of the item/s bought to insure the item/s during transportation. Once the item/s leave our premises for delivery by a third party, Re-Trend cannot accept any responsibility for them, and we will not be held liable for any damage that may occur during transit.

Courier Shipping: 'Small' items bought in our "Adorn" category can be sent by local Courier companies. The costing quote (based on weight and/or dimensions) will be provided to you & payable before shipping. The cost is for your account in addition to the item purchased.

ALL ITEMS BOUGHT MUST BE COLLECTED / DELIVERED WITHIN THREE DAYS FROM THE DATE OF PURCHASE (UNLESS OTHERWISE AGREED BETWEEN PARTIES)

If no communication is received and no agreement on storage was reached between both parties and goods are not collected within 2 weeks, the goods will be re-listed for sale, and should a refund be due (after the successful sale) a deduction of 45% on the re-listed selling price will apply to comply with admin fees, packaging fees, bank fees, VAT implications, online fees, and storage space.
