Two Zodiac Swivel Chairs, Available Separately.
A striking duo of vintage Zodiac swivel chairs, each with its own distinctive profile yet united by their warm yellow-orange textured upholstery and chrome four-star bases. With their sculptural forms and generous proportions, they make fantastic statement chairs individually, while the shared upholstery allows them to work especially well together despite their subtle design differences.
Bucket Zodiac Chair: The lower-slung of the two, this chair has a sharper, more angular bucket form, with defined corners and arms that sweep forward around the seat. Note the round seat.
The upholstered chair body sits loose on the chrome base as part of its swivel mechanism, allowing it to rotate freely. Its compact proportions and slightly more structured silhouette give it a particularly distinctive retro character. (First chair in the pic of two chairs featured together).
Classic Zodiac Chair: This chair has the classic rounded Zodiac profile, with a broad curved back flowing seamlessly into generous wraparound arms. Unlike its smaller companion, the upholstered seat is connected to its chrome swivel base, while still rotating freely. The deeper, enveloping shape gives this chair a wonderfully relaxed lounge feel. (The second in the pic of two chairs featured together).
Although they make a fabulous pair, the chairs are available to purchase separately.
Condition:
Both chairs have been reupholstered in the same yellow-orange textured fabric, with new foam fitted to the seat cushions. The chrome bases retain their vintage character, with signs of age and use consistent with their era.
