A classic vintage Salter kitchen scale with its original enamel weighing bowl. The cream-painted body carries the bold red Salter logo, and the scale face features clear numerical increments for accurate measurement. Some gentle wear to the enamel rim and painted finish is present, consistent with age, lending the piece authentic vintage character. Functional as a scale or purely decorative, this piece adds retro charm to any kitchen or display.

Founded in 1760 by Richard Salter in Bilston, England, Salter is one of the world’s oldest and most respected makers of weighing instruments. Originally producing spring balances, the company became a household name for reliable kitchen and household scales. Their mid-20th-century enamel and painted metal models, such as this example, remain highly collectible today, valued for their durability, functionality, and nostalgic design.
