Two Printer's Trays - Available to be purchased separately
A beautifully crafted vintage wooden printer's tray, originally designed to store movable type in the days of traditional letterpress printing. With its intricate arrangement of compartments, it now makes a striking decorative piece, perfect for displaying miniatures, collectibles, keepsakes, jewellery, or other treasured curios.
Two trays are available separately:
Tray 1 features copper-reinforced corner brackets on each compartment, adding both durability and an attractive industrial character. It also retains its original pull handle.
Tray 2 has the same practical compartmentalised design but without the copper reinforcements. Equally functional and full of vintage charm, it offers a slightly cleaner, more understated appearance. Hooks kept on for ease of hanging if need be.
Both trays have developed a warm, richly aged timber patina over decades of use, making each one a unique piece with plenty of character. They display beautifully, either wall-mounted or styled on a shelf or tabletop.
Condition:
These pieces are in good condition, with very slight signs of wear consistent with age and use, adding to their authentic vintage appeal.

A courier shipment can be arranged for this item. Select "Local Pick-up" at check-out (so that you are not charged for shipping at check-out).
After your purchase, kindly email shop@retrend.co.za so we can package the item securely and get a quote from a courier such as PostNet or Courier Guy. We will revert with the cost based on the wrapped dimensions. This cost is payable via EFT.
