A stunning dream unit. A three-bay "Modular" unit, celebrated for its versatility and ample display space. Manufactured by Anglo-Dutch Furniture, and designed by George Nelson. Anglo-Dutch mid-century furniture is a product of a dynamic period in design history, where different cultural influences converged to create a distinctive style that still resonates with many today still.
This modular unit is designed for secure, floor-to-ceiling installation. It features spring-loaded extenders that extend upward from the support legs, creating tension against the ceiling to hold the unit firmly in place without the need for additional fasteners.
Functional is the operative word. Various cabinet storage "boxes" are available to use as storage such as the sliding-door cabinet, which is great for drinks storage. The unit also boast a fitted "light". It takes up little space, but provides good functionality in any room from the lounge, dining room, bedroom or the study!
3 Wooden Boxes for storage and 5 shelves: Drinks cabinet / A unit with two drawers and cabinet space / Cabinet. Three of the 5 shelves are deeper for ultimate use and as per the pictures and a desk set-up.
Note that the top of each aluminium/ gold anodized structural support can be secured to the ceiling and is slightly adjustable in terms of length. An alternative solution is, once the unit is in place, to secure the back of the wooden boxes to your wall should the ceiling option not be optimal. Note the last photo of the ceiling fasteners that pushes up from the unit to the ceiling to hold the unit in place.
This unit has been fully refurbished and in great restored condition. The shelves sit on elbow-style brackets and the wooden boxes use hardware to connect to the support legs. Everything on this unit is original and all fittings are included.

As with most Mid-Century pieces, it is a good combination of solid wood and a high-quality wood veneer. The history of veneer on furniture is a long and honorable tradition, and it depends on the veneer's artistry, condition, and thickness the quality of the old veneer was long-lasting; for this reason, it can be retouched or sanded and refinished.
