A Mid-Century headboard with attached pedestals. The headboard is suitable for a double bed size if you look at the top of pedestal measurements.
NOTE: If the mattress sits just below the 'top lip' of the pedestal height it could fit a queen-size mattress. This means you need to measure your actual mattress especially the height (with base) & width should it be a queen size mattress.
Storage space is provided in a drawer on each side. Notice the typical period wishbone legs and beautiful handles.
The wood has been restored and sealed and the item is in excellent vintage condition.
Inside pedestals measured at the 'top lip' of the pedestal: 149.5 cm W
Inside pedestals measured at just below the 'top end/lip' of the pedestal: 152 cm W
Pedestals: 98,3cm W X 42cm D X 51,5cm H (the top of pedestal height)
Overall: 247cm W X 38cm D X86,8cm H
As with most Mid-Century pieces, it is a good combination of solid wood and a high-quality wood veneer. The quality, old veneer was long-lasting and for this reason, it can be retouched or sanded and refinished. The history of veneer on furniture is a long and honorable tradition, and it depends on the workmanship, condition, and thickness of the veneer itself.

For this reason and although restored, signs of their vintage condition & age might still be visible. We will normally point out any visible/notable concerns. Take note of all photos or view the item in-store before purchasing.
