A vintage BKF style, Butterfly iron-framed chair, with a new leather sling seat for relaxation (two available, sold separately).
This classic leather butterfly chair features a gently curving backrest and seat, which ensures that your body is sufficiently supported.
A new genuine leather (made to look worn) cover has been added and the vintage sturdy steel frame adds to its stability and durability. The leather has been double-bonded for extra durability. The chair is lightweight and comfortable. The leather cover can be easily removed and cut and stitched to last for many decades.
Widely known as BKF chairs, the iconic Butterfly Chair was designed by three young architects by the names of Benet, Kirchner and Ferrari-Hardy in 1938. They were in turn, inspired by the Tripoli chair first used in North Africa by the British and then the Italians in the 19th century. Enormously popular worldwide and sold in the millions during the ‘50’s and ‘60’s, the Butterfly Chair, also known as the AA chair in Europe, remains a design icon, an internationally sought after furniture classic.
PLEASE NOTE: There are 2 chairs available, but PRICED AND SOLD SEPERATELY. Price is for each chair.
