The fitting is currently configured to sit flush against the ceiling. If you prefer it suspended, a qualified electrician can adapt the installation to your desired drop.
The glass is in very good vintage condition, with light age-related wear consistent with its age. Due to the nature of vintage lighting, installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician, who can inspect and certify the fitting before use.
