A beautiful Mid-Century, two-tiered Teak coffee table with a smoked glass top and curved design edges. This table was manufactured during the 70's in the UK by 'Myer Furniture'.
"The British manufacturer Myer had a very distinctive style, very Scandinavian but with an English touch".
The 'cut-out' edges on the corners are unique, add interest and provide the glass with a light floating-like feel. The bottom tier provides enough space for décor, magazines, and necessities. This is a great interior addition.
Lower in size, however still a great couch-height coffee table.
The wood has been restored and the original smoked glass is still in good vintage condition considering its age.
108cm W X 48cm D X 35.7cm H
As with most Mid-Century pieces, it is a good combination of solid wood and a high-quality wood veneer. The quality, old veneer was long-lasting and for this reason, it can be retouched or sanded and refinished. The history of veneer on furniture is a long and honorable tradition, and it depends on the workmanship, condition, and thickness of the veneer itself.
