A Great cabinet and writing bureau in one. A well-made & preserved vintage piece in solid wood with led-glass door panels (in perfect condition).
To update this classic piece, we have opted to strip this cabinet of its old varnish and sanded it back to the bare wood to enable the bleaching process.
We then proceeded to bleach this cabinet via a two-step process using top-quality wood bleach. The cabinet was then sealed in a suitable sealant which provides a durable finish and elevates this cabinet to a class of its own. An amazing piece, perfect for storage as well as a work-from-home office when needed or just a storage or drinks cabinet.
We opted to keep some of the beautiful, original art deco-style hardware and added smaller new handles to best suit the style. A new center lock was added.

When purchasing an item and you are based in either Cape Town, Durban, or outside Gauteng, SELECT LOCAL PICK-UP at check-out (DO NOT SELECT A SHIPMENT OPTION). Delivery to these areas is quoted based on the dimensions of the item/s bought. We can unfortunately not reserve any items until such a time that transport or shipping has been finalized. The item should be purchased and checked out. After purchase, we will assist you with costs to these areas from our preferred supplier alternatively via your own method of transport.
