A rare & wonderful example of 1970s Italian Space Age design by Japanese industrial designer Makio Hasuike for Gedy.
Its sculptural, cylindrical body features a dramatically slanted opening, creating an almost futuristic silhouette. The soft cream finish and seamless curves give this everyday object an unexpected elegance, transforming a simple waste paper basket into a collectible design accessory.
Both playful and practical, it is a perfect example of an era when even the most ordinary household objects were given a bold new identity.
The original embossed Gedy maker's mark, designer's name, and Made in Italy inscription remain visible underneath.
