A beautiful petite oak dressing table with attached swivel & tilt mirrors. There is sufficient surface area to place cosmetics. This piece can also be used as a desk or a console table as the mirror can detach. Note the tapered legs and wooden handles of the piece which are very typical of the period. The style of this dresser is similar to that of Meredew or perhaps Duros furniture, but the maker's mark is not intact.
The wood has been restored and sealed and this item is in great condition with the mirrors showing signs of age and very minor chips, consistent with it's vintage condition. The two mirrors on the side sway whilst the middle mirror can be tilted. Perfect to add to any bedroom, study, or hallway space.
The stool has been re-upholstered in a Hertex boucle-style fabric. The legs of the dresser stool are perfect, but very dainty, so it must be noted that the stool probably has a weight limit :).
99cm W X 34cm D X 70 cm H(floor to top)
As with most Mid-Century pieces, it is a good combination of solid wood and a high-quality wood veneer. The quality, old veneer was long-lasting and for this reason, it can be retouched or sanded, and refinished. The history of veneer on furniture is a long and honorable tradition, and it depends on the workmanship, condition, and thickness of the veneer itself.
