A timeless piece of Vintage design, this beautifully restored sleeper couch features a solid Beech wood frame and effortlessly transforms into a double-size bed. The perfect blend of form and function, it offers both striking aesthetics and practical versatility. Dating from the 1950s, it was probably part of the marketed "Sleep A Guest" couch.
This beautifully restored couch features brand-new cushions all around, upholstered in a classic charcoal hue, linen-like fabric that honors its vintage charm. You have the option to personalize the look with one of two stylish scatter cushion sets:

In its upright position, two generously sized backrest cushions sit comfortably in front of one of two mattresses, creating an inviting seating area. When it's time to convert it into a bed, the couch folds down smoothly—once you get the hang of the folding process—guided by the smooth steel runners inside the couch—by pulling forward the seating section and folding down the backrest. The two sections then come together to form a cozy double bed. The transition from seating to bed becomes quick and effortless.
Newly added cane weave insets on the wooden armrests lend a touch of contemporary appeal while preserving the piece’s old-world character and charm.
This piece has been lovingly restored: the wooden frame has been sanded, repaired, and resealed, while the mattresses and all cushions are completely new.
It is in excellent vintage condition for its 65+ years of age, though natural signs of wear are to be expected and celebrated. Slight irregularities from the natural cane weaving process are subtly noticeable and are a normal part of the material’s organic character. This particular cane weave was especially challenging to insert, as the groove design of the couch made it difficult to "pull" the cane straight.
We’ve added support bars to both sides as we’ve noticed that the armrest design tends to dip when weight is applied, which can cause the cane to buckle slightly. The support bars help prevent this from further happening.
