This striking set of six mid-century dining chairs, crafted from solid Imbuia, embodies the refined craftsmanship and Scandinavian-inspired design sensibility typical of South African makers such as Frystark in the 1960s. Featuring gently sculpted ladder backs, tapered legs, and elegant joinery, each chair balances form and function with understated sophistication.
The seats have been newly upholstered in a textured monochrome fabric, adding a contemporary touch while remaining true to the era. The dark, rich tones of the Imbuia frames provide a beautiful contrast to the modern fabric, highlighting the grain and natural warmth of the wood.

Each chair has been carefully restored, with the wood stripped back to its bare wood, sanded, and refinished to highlight its natural beauty. The seats have been newly upholstered in a dark highly textured, Luxurious fabric from Hertex fabrics, adding a modern touch while maintaining the classic feel.

The set is in very good restored condition, with minimal signs of age and use, consistent with its vintage character.
