Mid-Century dining set with an oval-shaped dining table and 6 dining chairs.

The chairs are beautifully crafted from solid wood with just sufficient detail to make them the feature of your dining room. Upholstered backrests & seats in "FIBRE GUARD" fabric from Home Fabrics, to ensure comfort and ease of use since it is a light color. The fabric has built-in stain-resistant technology.

Each chair was stripped back to its bare wood, sanded and resealed. 

The table can be extended. It was stripped, re-sanded and re-sealed. Notice the stunning wood grain. 

Although there are design similarities to this set being attributed to Kallenbach it does not hold the mark but holds a mark not recognizable in archives. 

The wood has been restored and sealed and it is in good restored condition. One mark/imperfection is visible on the “extension leaf” as per the photos, but overall great condition.

It will sell as a set, but the beautifully crafted, fully restored chairs work out to around R1933 each and the extendable table to R6600 (to provide you with information on the total price).

As with most Mid-Century pieces, it is a good combination of solid wood and a high-quality wood veneer. The history of veneer on furniture is a long and honorable tradition, and it depends on the veneer's artistry, condition, and thickness the quality of the old veneer was long-lasting; for this reason, it can be retouched or sanded and refinished.

Shipment outside Gauteng is not calculated at check-out. When purchasing an item and you are based in either Cape Town, Durban, or outside Gauteng, SELECT LOCAL PICK-UP at check-out (DO NOT SELECT A SHIPMENT OPTION). Delivery to these areas is quoted based on the dimensions of the item/s bought. We can unfortunately not reserve any items until such a time that transport or shipping has been finalized. The item should be purchased and checked out. After purchase, we will assist you with costs to these areas from our preferred supplier alternatively via your own method of transport. Refer to our shipping policy.
