A well-crafted and thoughtfully Brutalist-designed, sideboard in the manner of Robert Heritage,
An "extracted" reason why we love this design style:
- Brutalist interior design honors raw materials—showcasing the honesty of construction
- Geometric Shapes
- Unadorned Minimalism
- Focus on Function.
The Leg base is in the style of some of George Katsutoshi Nakashima's furniture. He was an American woodworker, architect, and furniture maker who was one of the leading innovators of 20th-century furniture design and often designed his sideboard in this leg-base design.
This sideboard consists of four doors with a curved and brass-lipped rail inside the cabinet on one side that provides space for bottles and glasses. Two dovetailed drawers behind the door on the other side with smaller storage beneath the drawers and another cabinet for taller items.
Stunning wood grain very reminiscent of Rosewood depending on the maker or it could be a stunning cut of Imbuia. Some lines in the manner of Robert Heritage. The sideboard comes with a glass that protects the top for durability.
The wood has been restored and sealed and it is in very good restored condition. Some parts of this sideboard needed intense repairs like one section of the leg base, but after restoration, now in good condition.

As with most Mid-Century pieces, it is a good combination of solid wood and a high-quality wood veneer. The history of veneer on furniture is a long and honorable tradition, and it depends on the veneer's artistry, condition, and thickness the quality of the old veneer was long-lasting; for this reason, it can be retouched or sanded and refinished.
