The quintessential Retro "Sedia Ribbon" chair, designed in the 1960s is accredited to the designs by Pierre Paulin. It is shaped like a ribbon, hence the name. The seat and backrest offer comfort and support regardless of its unique design. A fantastic chair that was designed way ahead of its time!
The way these chairs were upholstered is master craftsmanship in its own right as the entire chair is done with a continuous "zip" style and only noticeable from the back - very neat. Still covered in its original quality bonded/faux leather, showing some signs of use in line with its age and vintage condition. This chair is overall in great condition considering its age with a few marks /impairments consistent with age and use. The fiberglass base had some damage, we have repaired this and it was carefully re-sprayed in black. We have repaired some minor scuff marks, and small tears as best as we could not compromising the originality of this chair as this is important in vintage finds like this.
