Magnificent and rare find. A Mid-Century, Kiaat headboard and base set. Reminiscent of the Danish designer, Arne Vodder due to it's sculptural handles and finger joints.
It features a solid kiaat base frame, a solid kiaat headboard section, and solid kiaat pedestals (attached, but can be separated from the headboard section if needed). One pedestal has three drawers providing ample space and the other pedestal has a good-sized cabinet with a drop-down door.
Excellent craftsmanship displayed, considering the woodwork on the front drawers and door panel with concaved handles.
The Headboard section could possibly fit a king-size mattress, should your mattress width be 180cm, or the pedestals can be separated from the headboard piece to create more space between the pedestals, however, the base frame will fit a queen size mattress. Bear in mind the height compared to modern base sets. NOTE ALL DIMENSIONS prior to purchasing.
The wood is fully refurbished and restored and in excellent condition.
Overall dimensions: 305cm W X 45cm D X 76cm H
Inside Pedestals width:180cm W, Pedestals 49cm H
Inside Base Frame:154cm ,Base End Height 48 cm
Headboard section only: 174 W
