A distinctive writing, office, or study desk that stands out for its individuality. This desk is designed with two lockable drawers and a two-tiered open storage arrangement on the side, offering ample space for storing books or stationery. The lovely wood grain and the Rosewood, wood veneer exude style & elegance. Unfortunately, the makers' mark is not intact, but this piece seems to be of Danish origin.
The drawers are deep and span the length of the top surface x 65cm D.
The wood has been thoughtfully restored, resulting in a desk that boasts both renewed aesthetics and structural integrity. Given the vintage age of this desk, it is in overall great restored condition with minor marks & damage visible. Note the photos below as there are marks on the top specifically that we could not remove as this would have resulted in damage to the wood veneer. Overall great piece and uniquely different.

Note/Disclaimer:
Our images form part of the item/s description. Although all effort is made to refurbish our furniture to represent its original state best, it must be noted that most of the items we source date from the 1950s to the late 1970s. For this reason and although restored, signs of their vintage condition & age might still be visible. We will typically point out any visible/notable concerns. Take note of all photos or view the item in-store prior to purchasing.
As with most Mid-Century pieces, it is a good combination of solid wood and a high-quality wood veneer. The history of veneer on furniture is a long and honorable tradition, and it depends on the veneer's artistry, condition, and thickness the quality of the old veneer was long-lasting; for this reason, it can be retouched or sanded and refinished.
