A gorgeous Retro dressing chest with four drawers with solid wood drawer fronts and an attached shaped mirror (which could be removed should you only require this to be used as a chest of drawers). Plenty of storage space is offered in this chest. The size makes it possible to place it in any bedroom, or nursery space. The new, stunning handles add charm and character to this piece.
The wood has been restored and sealed and it is in overall great restored condition. Due to previous wear, we opted to stain the surface area and legs in a darker brown and seal them for protection. The mirror is in its original condition and has age-related imperfections and a surface chip at the very bottom of the mirror - consistent with age and wear.
Overall: 77cm W X 47cm D X 170cm H
Mirror: 57cm W X 2cm D X 71cm H
Floor to top of the dresser: 94cm H
As with most Mid-Century pieces, it is a good combination of solid wood and a high-quality wood veneer. The history of veneer on furniture is a long and honorable tradition, and it depends on the veneer's artistry, condition, and thickness the quality of the old veneer was long-lasting; for this reason, it can be retouched or sanded and refinished.
