The chairs are designed in the manner of the celebrated Model 79 by Niels Otto Møller, (widely regarded as one of his most elegant and accomplished designs). The chairs are admired for their sculptural backrest, softly curved rails, and tapered legs, qualities that are clearly reflected in this set.
The chairs have been newly upholstered in a textured, tactile fabric from Hertex, chosen to complement the warmth of the teak while maintaining a calm, modern, and timeless aesthetic.

Following careful background research and close study of construction, proportions, and joinery, this set cannot be attributed with certainty to Niels Otto Møller, or the workshop of J.L. Møllers Møbelfabrik due to subtle detailing differences. Original maker’s marks are also absent, which, in general terms, is not uncommon, as labels and stamps were often inconsistently applied or lost during refinishing over time.
The table features a practical, extendable design with a single leaf that folds out smoothly and is neatly stored beneath the tabletop when not in use. Condition:
The set has been fully restored and presents beautifully overall. The chairs are in superb restored condition. The table remains in good vintage condition, with the tabletop sensitively refinished while retaining gentle signs of age and careful use, which add to its authentic character. Pieces of this calibre are intentionally not over-restored, as preserving originality and avoiding unnecessary intervention is essential to their long term integrity.
