Embrace the peak of late-1980s high-tech functional minimalism with this exceptional postmodern lamp.  Sourced as a rare, architectural piece originating from Italy, this striking fixture is a definitive example of the avant-garde geometric lighting movements that defined the decade.

With its fluid, counterbalanced gantry system as well as a full 360-degree swivel and glare-reducing mesh head, this floor lamp acts as a perfect spotlight for illuminating fine artwork, reading, or as a task lamp. 

Whilst unmarked, it shares the celebrated design language and engineering DNA found in masterworks like Artimide and Stilnovo. 

Design & Structural Highlights:

  • The Shade: A beautifully geometric, beveled trapezoid wedge prism. It features a highly specific, integrated perforated mesh texture embedded directly beneath the reflector shield to softly diffuse light and eliminate high-output halogen glare. It can be positioned at different angles.
  • The Counter-Balance Rods: A dual-rail gantry system that feeds clean, low-voltage electricity directly up to the head without any visible wiring. The entire framework relies on a distinct, inverted triangular yoke joint serving as the central weight pivot point for effortless, fluid positioning.
  • Rotating action: The lamp rotates easily in any direction without needing to reposition the base.
  • The Base: A minimalist, heavy, low-profile rectangular block. It perfectly anchors the lamp's dramatic cantilevered angles while housing a heavy-duty toroidal transformer, topped with a striking, vintage-red dual-position power switch.
An undeniable statement piece for collectors of Memphis Milano, mid-century modern, and avant-garde Italian lighting. 

Condition:

In good, as-is, cleaned, working condition, well-maintained, showing signs of age consistent with vintage pieces. Intentionally not resprayed to preserve authenticity as far possible.

Note: The tiny glass covering below the globe is not present any longer.
