A stylish find — these solid Kiaat-framed armless occasional chairs were locally crafted in the late 1960s by the esteemed D.S. Vorster & Co., known for their enduring quality and timeless design.
Built with solid Kiaat wood, the frames are both robust and elegant — designed to last and versatile enough to complement any contemporary or classic interior. Their modular form allows you to configure them in multiple ways: as standalone statement pieces, paired together, or arranged in a larger group to create an extended seating area. Would also work great on an enclosed veranda.
The wood of each chair has been professionally restored, featuring brand-new, high-end contemporary fabrics, offering comfort and style with a mid-century soul.
Two matching sets are available to purchase separately, each with its own distinct fabric character yet designed to work seamlessly together:
- Set 1: Upholstered in a sophisticated khaki-stone-grey linen-like fabric, accented with contrasting piping in the textured blue fabric of Set 2.
- Set 2: Wrapped in a richly textured and patterned blue Hertex fabric, featuring contrast piping in the khaki tone from Set 1.
Whether styled together or apart, these chairs create a cohesive and flexible seating solution that balances mid-century craftsmanship with a modern aesthetic.
