A stylish mid-century occasional armchair with a distinctive light oak frame and elegant tapered legs. Its clean, uncomplicated design is characteristic of 1960s furniture, combining comfort with the warmth of natural timber.
The exposed oak frame is a defining feature, particularly the gracefully shaped armrests with their softly curved ends. The angled supports and open framework give the chair a light, airy appearance, while the generously upholstered seat and supportive backrest offer comfortable seating.
Newly upholstered in a rich forest green textured fabric from Hertex, the chair has been given a fresh contemporary look. The subtle texture and depth of the fabulous green fabric complement the lighter oak beautifully, creating an appealing contrast that highlights the chair's original design.
A versatile piece that works equally well as an occasional chair in a living room, a reading chair in a bedroom, or as additional seating in a study.
Please note: The matching modular three-seater sofa featured in some of the photographs (see last two photos) is available to purchase separately and is not included with this armchair. View and purchase the couch here.
Condition:
The oak frame has been carefully restored and refinished, with new upholstery and fresh Hertex fabric throughout. The chair is sturdy, structurally sound, and ready for everyday use.

Note/Disclaimer:
Our images form part of the item description. While we make every effort to restore our furniture to its original state, most pieces date from the 1950s to the late 1970s. As a result, and despite restoration, signs of their vintage nature and previous life may still be visible. Light traces of restoration may remain visible, consistent with authentic vintage furniture. In some cases, minor adjustments may also have been made during the restoration process to ensure the piece remains functional and usable. We will point out any notable aspects where possible. We encourage in-store viewing or careful review of photographs before purchase.

All items are carefully wrapped and prepared for transport by us (not the courier) to ensure safe handling. Once items leave our premises, we cannot take responsibility for their treatment by third-party transporters. We strongly recommend arranging goods-in-transit insurance for comprehensive protection.
Due to the fragility of glass, we do not recommend shipping glass items outside of Gauteng.
