Great slope fronted G-Plan cabinet by "E-Gomme" manufactured in High Wycombe. The form and style are from the G-Plan "Brandon Range" produced during the late 50's to 60's designed by VB Wilkins. Attractive and functional, this piece will not date.

This one is a combination of two sliding glass doors with a shelf inside and a pair of oak sliding doors "hiding a shelf and a secret lower compartment" for reasons unknown, but a very useful feature, nonetheless.

We have received this one in a heavy teak-stained condition and stripped it back to the bare wood and veneer which revealed the original oak. Stained again and sealed.

THE PRICE LISTED IS FOR THIS ONE CABINET   - SEE BELOW FOR OPTIONS TO PURCHASE SOME MATCHING G-PLAN ITEMS AS SEEN IN SOME OF THE PHOTOS

Note this link to another cabinet, also by G-Plan that if placed alongside each other can form a longer piece as they were made to be either matched together or be used separately.

Note a similar and perfectly matching cabinet from the same G-Plan Range is available and sold separately. Click here

A corner cabinet can also be bought separately and is a great match, also from G-Plan, however, the height is slightly lower. About 3 cm. Click here for this cabinet.

Note/Disclaimer:

Although all effort is made to refurbish our furniture to best represent its original state, it must be noted that most of the items we source date between the 1950s to the late 1970s. For this reason and although restored, signs of their vintage condition & age might still be visible. We will normally point out any visible/notable concerns. Take note of all photos or view the item in-store prior to purchasing.

As with most Mid-Century pieces, it is a good combination of solid wood and a high-quality wood veneer. The history of veneer on furniture is a long and honourable tradition, and it depends on the veneer's artistry, condition, and thickness The quality of the old veneer was long-lasting; for this reason, it can be retouched or sanded and refinished.
