A quintessential Mid-Century modular Kiaat & steel wall unit. The system offers self-support and it is dis-mountable and can be merged to your own taste (modular). These original modular units are rarely found nowadays and the most stylish wall units one can buy for multi-purposes. The options are endless and include a drinks cabinet, media unit, bookshelves, display, desk, or all of the above.

The unit consists of:

Four steel upright supports, 5 wooden cabinets. Three of the doors are drop-fronted, one has glass sliding doors (with a centre glass shelf) and one with open bottom storage.

The wood has been restored and sealed with new veneer edges replaced in most places as the veneer was badly damaged. The wall unit is in overall good vintage condition with a few marks consistent with it's age and a piece of one of the handles is missing as shown in the photos.

As with most Mid-Century pieces, it is a good combination of solid wood and a high-quality wood veneer. The quality, old veneer was long-lasting and for this reason, it can be retouched or sanded, and refinished. The history of veneer on furniture is a long and honorable tradition, and it depends on the workmanship, condition, and thickness of the veneer itself.

CAPE TOWN & DURBAN shipment is NOT calculated at check-out. When purchasing an item and you are based in either Cape Town, Durban, or outside Gauteng, SELECT LOCAL PICK-UP at check-out (DO NOT SELECT A SHIPMENT OPTION). Delivery to these areas is quoted based on the dimensions of the item/s bought. Unfortunately, we cannot reserve any items until such a time that transport or shipping has been finalized. The item should be purchased and checked out. After purchase, we will assist you with costs to these areas from our preferred supplier. Refer to our shipping policy.
