A stunning Post Modern Antidiva 'Mr. Nilsson' couch by Duilio Forte. It was made in Italy during the 1990s and was previously manufactured by Herman Miller. It has a 'floating' appeal which delivers a contemporary yet minimalist look that makes an immediate statement.
A combination of comfort and modern design is displayed in the long, sleek, and low Mr. Nilsson couch. Beautiful craftsmanship with exposed stitching adds to this iconic distinctive design element.
Strong wooden frame with padding & good foam, covered in the original fabric, which has been professionally cleaned. Inside the backrest, steel rods provide comfort.
Double-density polyurethane foam covered in velveteen lining is still in good condition.
The backrest removes to convert this into a sofa bed, however, we have not been able to remove this specific backrest (we were not sure how and did not wish to test on this gorgeous piece). The original fabric cover is removable. Very sturdy aluminum feet.
Considering its age it is in overall excellent condition and the original removable fabric is in great condition. Minor discoloration on the backrest & seat area, consistent with use & possible slight sun exposure. Only very minor marks here and there are visible after professional cleaning was done.
