An exemplary Mid-Century unit perfect to serve a diverse range of purposes. In all probability, designed by John Tabraham for Vorster as a drinks/cocktail cabinet, this versatile piece comprises three shelves, a storage-equipped cabinet, a functional surface space, two drawers, and a bottom shelf with a slatted design for additional easy-to-reach storage.
The wood has undergone meticulous restoration, resulting in its elevated appearance, and the unit overall remains in overall great restored condition. A few repair marks are visible here and there consistent with age and use as it had extensive restoration that had to be done. With good upkeep, this piece should last another 60 years.

As with most Mid-Century pieces, it is a good combination of solid wood and a high-quality wood veneer. The history of veneer on furniture is a long and honorable tradition, and it depends on the veneer's artistry, condition, and thickness the quality of the old veneer was long-lasting; for this reason, it can be retouched or sanded and refinished.
