An elegant Mid-Century sideboard with four symmetrical doors. Exceptional quality & craftsmanship is evident in this piece that stood the test of time. It is slightly higher in size and the minimalist design will fit in perfectly with most interior styles and can also be utilized as a tv stand. Probably made locally during the 1960s by one of the well-known Knysna companies which might be for Fechter's.
Ample storage space behind the cabinet doors with three inside drawers two is cutlery drawers and additional shelves. A true beauty with great legs that will not date.
Considering the age of this piece, the overall condition of this piece is really great with only small marks visible indicating age and use as indicated on some of the photos.
This sideboard has been, repaired, restored and sealed and is a great piece to add to the home. Veneer repairs were done on one of the doors and the sideboard is in overall good, restored condition.

As with most Mid-Century pieces, it is a good combination of solid wood and a high-quality wood veneer. The history of veneer on furniture is a long and honorable tradition, and it depends on the veneer's artistry, condition, and thickness the quality of the old veneer was long-lasting; for this reason, it can be retouched or sanded and refinished.
