A lovely example of modernist furniture design, where thoughtful proportions, clean lines, and subtle detailing give this dining table its distinctive character.
The design is particularly appealing for its angular, outward-splayed legs and the carefully shaped apron, with cutaway detailing where the legs meet the tabletop. These features create a sense of lightness and give the table an almost floating appearance, while retaining a strong, well-balanced silhouette.
The rectangular top features a beautifully linear Sapele grain pattern, adding warmth and texture to the overall design. Its gently tapered legs and understated profile reflect the Scandinavian influences so often admired in furniture of this period.
Perfectly proportioned to seat six comfortably, yet equally attractive as a four-seater, allowing for a more generous and relaxed seating arrangement. A versatile piece that offers both everyday practicality and timeless design appeal.

Note: As with many furniture pieces from this era, this item combines solid wood and natural wood veneer. Veneering has a long and respected tradition in fine furniture making, valued for its beauty, stability and craftsmanship. When well-made and in fair condition, original veneer can be restored and refinished, although this requires considerable skill and care.
