An amazing Mid-Century dresser manufactured by Novocraft during the 60's in Sapele Mahogany with a dressing table chair included. This dresser provides good storage space in 3 drawers with sunken wooden handles.
The design lines especially the iconic legs are a rare find. The wood on the dresser stool has been restored, refurbished and re-sealed. The seat is in great original hand embroidered condition with new foam. The stool is not original to the dresser but a great match.
The mirror has great visibility with a few age-related marks. There is an extremely slight dip when viewed from certain angles, but this will not impact the longevity or future wear of the piece.
57cm W X 42cm D X 162cm H
As with most Mid-Century pieces, it is a good combination of solid wood and a high-quality wood veneer. Quality, old veneer was long-lasting and for this reason, it can be retouched or sanded and refinished. The history of veneer on furniture is a long and honorable tradition, and it depends on the workmanship, condition and thickness of the veneer itself.
