Compact and aesthetically beautiful. For an over 60-year-old table, we think it's held up amazingly - a testament to the maker "Meredew".
A beautifully designed oval Meredew Mid-Century Modern teak dining table. The sliding demi-lune ends with the fold-out butterfly leaf providing both elegance and functionality, allowing for flexibility in seating capacity. The tapered legs contribute to its sleek, streamlined appearance typical of 1960s design, while the manufacturer’s label adds authenticity and value. It’s a versatile piece that can accommodate various settings and remains a timeless addition to any dining area.
The table has been fully refurbished and is in excellent condition. While one of the legs is very slightly inward, this does not affect the stability, structural integrity or the overall beauty of this meticulously crafted piece.
Note that the chairs in some of the photos are sold separately here. They make a fantastic set.

Our images form part of the item/s description. Although all efforts have been made to refurbish our furniture to represent its original state best, it must be noted that most of the items we source date from the 1950s to the late 1970s. For this reason and although restored, signs of their vintage condition & age might still be visible. We will typically point out any visible/notable concerns. Take note of all photos or view the item in-store prior to purchasing.
As with most Mid-Century pieces and a hallmark of the era, it is a combination of solid wood and a high-quality wood veneer. Veneer has a rich history in furniture design, is admired for its craftsmanship, durability, and aesthetic appeal and is a long and honorable tradition. The quality of the veneer's artistry was long-lasting; for this reason, it can be retouched or sanded and refinished.
