A brutalist/cubist style Kiaat Mid-Century sideboard. The slatted wooden detail on the doors is continued to give the front a sleek look with 2 drawers behind one door. A mostly solid wooden piece that can be handed down generations to come. The sideboard has been restored and sealed to reveal the beautiful lines and woodgrain.
The sideboard is in an overall great condition, with only a few marks here and there consistent with its vintage age.

As with mostly all Mid-Century pieces, it is a good combination of solid wood AND a high-quality wood veneer. The quality, old veneer was long-lasting and for this reason, it can be retouched or sanded and refinished. The history of veneer on furniture is a long and honorable tradition, and it depends on the workmanship, condition and thickness of the veneer itself.
