Stunning mid-century Sapele queen sized headboard with attached pedestals and a unique design. Features one drawer on each pedestal and has an attached magazine rack on either side that one can use to place reading material in.
The wood has been restored and sealed. It is now in good vintage condition. When we received the headboard there were extensive damage. We repaired & restored this unit and now only showing a few marks visible indicating it’s vintage age.

As with most Mid-Century pieces, it is a good combination of solid wood and a high-quality wood veneer. The quality, old veneer was long-lasting and for this reason, it can be retouched or sanded and refinished. The history of veneer on furniture is a long and honorable tradition, and it depends on the workmanship, condition and thickness of the veneer itself.
