Beautifully shaped side tables by Greaves & Thomas with the makers mark visible. Greaves & Thomas was a London-based company with a history dating back to the early 1900s producing a range of high-end contemporary furniture during the Mid-Century period. Very useable items with a timeless design that will stay relevant for decades to come and fit with most styles.
The wood has been restored and sealed and the item is in great condition.

As with most Mid-Century pieces, it is a good combination of solid wood and a high-quality wood veneer. The quality, old veneer was long-lasting and for this reason, it can be retouched or sanded and refinished. The history of veneer on furniture is a long and honorable tradition, and it depends on the workmanship, condition and thickness of the veneer itself.
