An iconic Kartell, Model 4955, Componibili two-part storage unit, designed by Anna Castelli Ferrieri in 1969. Instantly recognisable for its cylindrical form and sliding compartment doors, the Componibili has become one of Kartell’s most enduring designs, combining practical storage with the playful Space Age styling of the period.
This larger two-module version offers generous storage behind its curved sliding doors, each finished with the characteristic circular finger opening. The raised rim around the top creates an additional useful surface for a lamp, drinks or decorative pieces, while the fitted castor wheels allow the unit to be moved easily.
Finished in an original off-white colour, this is a wonderfully versatile piece that works as a bedside table, bathroom or dressing room storage, a living room side piece or even a compact drinks cabinet. Note some age-related discolouration, which is commonly seen on these units over time.
Condition:
In good vintage condition with age-related wear and areas of discolouration to the moulded plastic, consistent with its age and use.
There are some markings and signs of use to the top surface, as well as other minor marks visible. The sliding doors remain functional, although the lower door opens and closes with less ease than the upper compartment. Castor wheels roll freely for easy movement.
