A stately, elegant and classic Mid Century 'Isabella' Style Rocking Chair. They were originally designed by Swedish Designer Karl Axel Adolfsson for Gemla. Circa. 1950's. Solid hardwood, spindle high-back rocker with armrests having handgrip knobs.
We have two available selling them separately, but they make for an opulent statement when paired.
Though every aspect of these chairs is extraordinarily similar compared to the chairs researched overseas (as close as two coats of paint), we have to assume they are superior-high-quality replicas, but exemplary so.
They are unmarked, which is often the case with furniture older than 50+ years. For this reason,
The wood has been fully restored and the seat pads re-upholstered in black from Hertex Fabrics. The chairs are in excellent condition.
Most of the time these chairs were ebonized, but we opted to keep them in the natural hardwood they were manufactured in.
