A stunning Mid-Century wooden console/entrance table manufactured by DS Vorster & Co during the '60s. The clean lines with rounded edges will fit in with most styles and interiors. This piece can be used as a console, server, entrance table, writing desk, or dresser. Most probably designed by John Tabraham for Vorster.
The solid Sapele Mahogany base has been restored & sealed with a brand new re-veneered top in Sapele. The piece is in fantastic vintage condition.

As with most Mid-Century pieces, it is a good combination of solid wood and a high-quality wood veneer. The quality, the old veneer was long-lasting and for this reason, it can be retouched or sanded and refinished. The history of veneer on furniture is a long and honorable tradition, and it depends on the workmanship, condition, and thickness of the veneer itself.
