Originally, they were designed in the 1920s, but this height-adjustable table has become one of the most enduring and beloved pieces of 20th-century furniture.
Originally created for Eileen's summer house, E-1027 - Maison en bord de mer - which she designed for herself and collaborator Jean Badovici, the table’s name is a code formed from both of their names: E for Eileen, 10 for Jean (J is the 10th letter of the alphabet), 2 for B(adovici), and 7 for G(ray). First intended as a bedside table for the guest room (inspired by her sister’s love of breakfast in bed), it quickly proved to be far more versatile.

There are two tables available - sold separately. The chrome has been cleaned & polished, and the tables are in excellent vintage condition, and the tempered glass tops are still in good condition with minor surface-level scuff marks on the glass consistent with use.
