Great workmanship is shown in this Mid-Century Headboard making it a must-have piece. This piece was manufactured by one of South Africa's most well-known makers, DS Vorster. The Sapele Mahogany wooden frame has been fully refurbished & refinished and is in great vintage condition.
Fitting a double bed, this piece is ready for the next phase of its life lasting you for many generations to come. The headboard can be attached to a bed base or can stand upright against the wall with the bed pushed against it. The bottom wood beam has holes already drilled.

As with mostly all Mid-Century pieces, it is a good combination of solid wood and a high-quality wood veneer. The quality, old veneer was long-lasting and for this reason, it can be retouched or sanded and refinished. The history of veneer on furniture is a long and honorable tradition, and it depends on the workmanship, condition and thickness of the veneer itself.
