Introducing a timeless classic, a stunning set of six solid Mahogany chairs with solid brass-capped feet. Designed by Vorster, a renowned manufacturer of Mid-Century furniture known for clean lines and exceptional craftsmanship. These chairs offer both elegance and comfort with their slatted seats and backrests.
Perfectly suited for placement around a dining table, under a covered patio/veranda space, or in a kitchen.
We have meticulously restored this set to its former glory. Each slat of every chair was carefully removed, sanded, resealed, and refitted, ensuring their structural integrity. The wood has been beautifully sealed, showcasing its natural beauty.
Additionally, the steel frames have been repainted, revitalizing their appearance. As a result, this set is in excellent restored condition, ready to be enjoyed for years to come.
One of the slats in one chair had suffered damage, requiring a section of Mahogany to be added and joined to the damaged slat. As a result, it is visible that repairs were done, but overall the chair remains in good condition. This minor imperfection does not detract from the beauty and functionality of the set as a whole.

As with most Mid-Century pieces, it is a good combination of solid wood and a high-quality wood veneer. The history of veneer on furniture is a long and honorable tradition, and it depends on the veneer's artistry, condition, and thickness the quality of the old veneer was long-lasting; for this reason, it can be retouched or sanded and refinished.
