Crafted in richly toned solid kiaat wood, the frame carries a grounded presence, with clean lines and well-balanced proportions that allow the build & form to speak for itself. Appealing from any angle with double horizontal Kiaat supports at the backrest creating visual contrast.
The gently sculpted armrests and structured form at the top of the backrest give it a sense of design clarity, while still feeling warm and inviting.
Now fully restored, the piece has been reupholstered in a deep, vibrant petrol green/blue, a colour that adds depth and subtle drama without overwhelming the form. The seat is generous and comfortable, while the backrest has been elevated with a tailored five-button detail, introducing a more sophisticated and refined finish.
DS Vorster was one of South Africa’s respected mid-century manufacturers, known for producing high-quality, enduring pieces with a focus on solid timber construction and timeless design.

Restored to excellent condition, this couch is set to elevate any interior for years to come. New fabric & upholstery. It presents excellent with a few signs of age-appropriate wear.
