Elegant Mid-Century dining set made up by an extendable Sapele Mahogany dining room table and 6 Mahogany dining chairs. The table can extend and could seat more, however it is a perfect six seater. It is a simplistic style that will enhance any space and fit in with any design style.
The set is unmarked, but reminiscent of either made by Novocraft, Duros, or Frystark during the 60's. Unique and beautifully shaped backrests with new upholstery in Hertex chartreuse/yellow. The style can easily be paired with modern carvers if more seating is required.
The wood on the table and wooden frames of the chairs has been restored, refinished & sealed and the set is in excellent restored vintage condition.
The uniquely shaped chairs work out to around R1680 each and the 8 seater table at R8820 - Sold as a SET.

169CM (unextended) X 87,1cm X 72,7H
As with mostly all Mid-Century pieces, it is a good combination of solid wood and a high-quality wood veneer. The quality, old veneer was long-lasting and for this reason, it can be retouched or sanded and refinished. The history of veneer on furniture is a long and honorable tradition, and it depends on the workmanship, condition and thickness of the veneer itself.
