A Mid-Century dining set with an oval-shaped dining table and 8 dining chairs in the style of Kallenbach furniture.
The chairs are beautifully crafted from solid wood with just sufficient detail to make them the feature of your dining room. Upholstered backrests & seats in Hertex fabrics, ensure comfort. Each chair was stripped back to its bare wood, sanded and resealed.
The table can be extended. It was stripped, re-sanded and re-sealed. Notice the stunning wood grain.
Although there are design similarities to this set being attributed to Kallenbach it does not hold the mark. Some attribution marks were often lost or taken off over the years.
The wood has been restored and sealed and it is in good restored condition. One small mark/imperfection is visible on the “extension leaf” as per the photos.
It will sell as a set, but the beautifully crafted, fully restored chairs work out to R1850 each and the extendable table to R7000 (to provide you with information on the total price).

As with most Mid-Century pieces, it is a good combination of solid wood and a high-quality wood veneer. The quality, old veneer was long-lasting and for this reason, it can be retouched or sanded and refinished. The history of veneer on furniture is a long and honorable tradition, and it depends on the workmanship, condition and thickness of the veneer itself.

Delivery to these areas is quoted based on the dimensions of the item/s bought. We can unfortunately not reserve any items until such a time that transport or shipping has been finalized.
