A retro cubist style Kiaat headboard with pedestals to fit a queen size bed - please measure your bed and base. The pedestals are attached with screws. The fabric backboard has been re-upholstered in a black fabric. A stylish timeless design that will fit in with most interiors and styles. The wood has been restored and sealed and the unit is in great vintage condition. Please check the height of the headboard in context with the height of modern bed sets.

As with mostly all Mid-Century pieces it is a good combination of solid wood AND a high quality wood veneer. Quality old veneer was long-lasting and for this reason it can be retouched or sanded and refinished. The history of veneer on furniture is a long and honorable tradition, and it depends on workmanship, condition and thickness of the veneer itself.
