A vintage leather sling, folding chair, also known as the "Papillon or Tripolina chair".
These chairs were originally designed in 1855 by a British engineer and the ‘Tripolina’ style became widely known in Europe as an officer’s chair used on military campaigns. But it also grew in popularity with safari hunters, explorers, and adventurers worldwide.
"Notable for its elegant form and versatile function, this chair serves as a stylish addition to any living space".
(There is another chair, but they are non-matching - so they are sold separately. They will pair well together, but it must be noted that they are not exactly the same).
This classic leather sling chair features a gently curving backrest and seat, which ensures that your body is sufficiently supported. The frame is vintage and we have added a new genuine leather (made to look worn) cover. The leather has been double bonded for extra durability. The chair is lightweight and comfortable.
Frame width x55cm (total width x60cm) x 75cm x 86H
