An elegant mid-century standing ashtray crafted in lustrous red copper, featuring a distinctive flared hourglass form and a practical weighted base for stability. Designed for floor use, its tall, sculptural silhouette allowed it to remain secure without risk of tipping — a feature that, while also useful at sea, was primarily intended for busy interiors such as lounges, bars, and smoking rooms. Similar forms were produced in the mid-20th century by European and American metalwork studios.
The removable ash bowl at the top is complemented by a curved carry handle, making it easy to reposition. The smooth copper finish and contrasting black base give it a timeless appeal that suits both retro and contemporary spaces.
