A wonderfully sculptural cane and bamboo occasional chair, defined by its exceptionally tall, leaf-shaped backrest and decorative open framework. Curved cane forms the generous silhouette, while finer woven detailing and sweeping horizontal supports create an airy, almost tropical feel.
The chair has been freshly coated in an off-white finish, giving the vintage cane and bamboo construction a lighter, updated look while retaining its original character and detailing.
A new round fitted seat cushion adds comfort and contrast. It is in a richly textured woven fabric, featuring a small-scale mosaic pattern in layered shades of olive, sage green, soft blue, cream, pink, and beige, with dark charcoal contrasting threads adding definition and depth.
Condition:
In very good restored condition, with the cane and bamboo newly coated in an off-white finish. A new upholstered seat cushion has also been fitted for added comfort.
