Price is for the set
A joyful burst of Scandinavian design, this vintage Bodum saffron teapot with eight matching mugs comes in a vibrant red that instantly lifts any kitchen or serving setting. The pieces are in excellent vintage condition and showcase the classic Bodum look: heat-resistant borosilicate glass paired with bold coloured frames and handles. The teapot and mugs are all marked "Bodum" Denmark, reflecting Bodum’s early production era, known for impeccable quality and playful modernism.
Included is a complimentary sugar pot, not Bodum and not marked Denmark, but visually well matched and perfectly functional as part of the service.
This iconic design dates to the period when Bodum became internationally recognised for merging cheerful colour, lightweight glass and clever engineering. Sets like these were loved for their durability and ease of use, and today they are prized by collectors for their timeless, optimistic aesthetic.
A complete red set is increasingly rare to find, especially in such well-cared-for condition. Beautiful to display, delightful to use, and a wonderful piece of Scandinavian design history
Bodum produced a range in the 1970s–1980s where the plastic frame and handle were made in bright, saturated colours (red, yellow, orange). This colour family was informally referred to as the Saffron line, because the bold hues resembled the warm, sunny colours of saffron (the spice) and the Mediterranean palette.
